Sigma Contest!

	Are you a high school senior with plans to pursue a career in a photo-related field? Do you have a passion and creative inspiration for capturing unique, dazzling images? Could you use $5,000 and some new gear to help move your career forward? Here’s your chance to display your photographic talents and win a fantastic prize from Sigma Corporation of America. Sigma will award a cash gift of $5,000 and a $1,000 gift card for Sigma products to one talented high school senior who is pursuing a higher education in a photo-related field.
	But first, here are the rules of the contest: You must be a high school senior who will graduate in 2010, with plans to pursue a degree or certificate in a photo-related field such as photography, photojournalism, graphic arts, design, visual arts or art history The deadline to submit entries is Feb. 15, 2010. Online voting will occur Feb. 16 to April 23, and the winner will be announced May 3 You must submit a brief essay and up to five thematically-tied photographs The entire package will be judged based on creativity of subject selection, overall technique and, most importantly, image quality.
