August 15, 2011, Commack, NY — Tamron Co., Ltd., celebrating its 60th anniversary, announced that the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) has awarded its European Zoom Lens of the Year 2011-2012 to the Tamron 60th Anniversary Model 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD (Model B008). Excerpt from the Award Citation of the EISA Jury

Designed for the popular APS-C sensor format, it delivers a focal range that is suitable for anything from landscapes to wildlife photography. The lens is small and light, and the main zoom ring is comfortable and easy to operate.
