Today, Nikon introduced six new COOLPIX
digital cameras with features and controls that will appeal to a variety of users, from the casual shooter to the camera enthusiast. Highlights include the advanced COOLPIX P7100 and Nikon’s first rugged point-and-shoot camera, the COOLPIX AW100.
Highlights of the COOLPIX P7100 include:
· 10.1-Megapixels, 3.0-inch (921,000-dot) tilting vari-angle LCD screen and 7.1x Wide Angle Optical Zoom-NIKKOR ED glass lens · Enhanced high speed performance, quick response, a new user interface and HD movie recording
· Full manual controls with control dials for creative control
· Available in September 2011 for $499.95 in Black
Highlights of the COOLPIX AW100 include:
· Nikon’s first rugged point-and-shoot camera -- waterproof, freeze proof and shockproof· 16-megapixel backside illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor for improved picture quality even in challenging low-light conditions
· Full 1080p video capture
· New GPS function and internal map display allow photos to be displayed via location information and saves latitude and longitude information in the image data
· Available in September 2011 for $379.95 in Black, Blue and Orange
Highlights of the COOLPIX S1200pj include:
· A powerful 20 lumen built-in projector (40% brighter)· Built-in projector works with an iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch® as well as a computer to allow users to project images and movies stored on these devices or from online
· Features 14.1-megapixel resolution, 5x Optical Zoom, HD (720p) movie capture with stereo sound and a 3.0-inch LCD screen display
· Available in September 2011 for $429.95 in Black and Pink
Highlights of the COOLPIX S8200 include:
· 16.1-Megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, bright 3.0-inch (921,000-dot) LCD Screen and a 14x Optical Zoom-NIKKOR ED Glass Lens· Very sleek, compact body
· Full HD (1080p) movie recording with one-touch operation, optical zoom, stereo sound and the ability to capture still images during recording
· High-speed continuous shooting which can capture five shots at up to six frames-per-second (fps)
· Available in September 2011 for $329.95 in Black, Red, and Silver
Highlights of the COOLPIX S6200 include:
· 16.0-Megapixels and a 10x Optical Zoom-NIKKOR ED Glass Lens · A super slim body (approximately 1-inch depth)
· HD (720p) movie recording, a large 2.7-inch LCD display and a selection of Special Effects
· Available in September 2011 for $229.95 in Red, Pink, Silver, Blue and Black
Highlights of the COOLPIX S100 include:
· A large 3.5-inch, strikingly bright (820,000-dot) OLED touch screen with an enhanced user interface· 16.0-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and 5x Optical Zoom
