TetherPro USB A Male to Mini-B |
The new TetherPro line of cables currently includes two options:
USB A Male to Mini B cable: This is the most common connection type for DSLR cameras. USB specifications recommend limiting the length of a regular, passive cable to a maximum of 15 feet (4.6m). But we've come to find that 15 feet of cable between you and the computer isn't always enough. That's where the next cable option comes in...
TetherPro USB Active Extension Cable |
USB Active Extension cable: Our Active Extension cables provide signal boosts every 16 feet (5m) and are the way to go if you need distance and reliability for smooth image transfer. One 15-foot passive USB and up to four 16-foot USB Active Extensions can be daisy-chained together for a total distance of 80 feet (24m).
TetherPro FireWire 800 with Low Profile Casing |
FireWire 800 Low Profile Casing: TetherPro's new low-profile casing for FireWire 800 9-pin to 9-pin cables ensures photographers shooting with digital backs from Phase One, Hasselblad or Mamiya will have properly sized tethering cables that fit their equipment. Digital backs have narrow, deep ports and most FireWire cable casings are too large to fit properly. TetherPro's new low-profile FireWire 800 is designed to fit narrow FireWire ports on digital backs and eliminates the need to make any casing modifications.
The cable you use depends on the camera and computer ports available with your gear, so check the manufacturer specifications. If you're not sure which cable you need, They offer a cable finder service and are happy to help.
