This endeavor greatly expands the scope of the Lucie Awards’ mission.

It has been a long first day at PDN PhotoPlus Expo 2018 but we have had fun. The show attendance seems to have gotten off to a slow start, but it has led to some great insights. The Batis family of lenses have a
longstanding reputation of being lightweight with fast autofocus and close
focusing distance. The ZEISS Batis autofocus lenses are specially developed for
mirrorless, full-frame sensor cameras from Sony. ZEISS’ new Batis 2/40 CF has a
40-millimeter fixed focal length, making it ideal for close-ups. In addition,
its close focusing distance of just 24 centimeters (9.4 inches), combined with
its moderate wide-angle imaging the Close Focus lens (CF) is incomparable for
varying landscapes. Additionally, the high micro contrast and initial aperture
